Line Cook
Radio Kwara is hiring new line cooks for our growing team. The compact restaurant integrates front-of-house and back-of-house duties seamlessly in an essentialized kitchen space. Radio Kwara is the sister restaurant to Dept. of Culture restaurant. Founded and owned by Executive Chef Ayo Balogun, Radio Kwara offers a unique and intimate Nigerian small plates dining experience in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Opened in the summer of 2023, Radio Kwara blends traditional Nigerian cuisine with familiar twists and modern sensibilities.
Responsibilities of Line Cooks
- Prepare, prep, and serve (11-15 dish menu) along with another cook during full-service
- Maintain overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the kitchen
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and experience in maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
- Support executive chef and back-of-house team with the creative development of dishes and presentation
Requirements of Line Cook
- Interest in Nigerian and West African cuisines
- Food Handler’s license
- Ability to work well in a close-knit space
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Openness to receive and provide feedback
- Ability to multi-task and work quickly on one’s feet
- Previous restaurant experience is desired
