Our client, a stylish luxury hotel located in midtown NYC, is on the lookout for a Food & Beverage Floor Manager with experience across multiple venues. Success in this position requires a solid grasp of execution processes along with practical insights into costs, budgets, timelines, and scheduling. Exceptional leadership and mentorship abilities are essential. This is not a role for those who prefer a hands-off approach; it’s a place where you need to be ready to get involved. The focus here is on delivering an outstanding guest experience, whether guests are dining in one of the hotel’s restaurants, or hosting a special event. The F&B Floor Manager will play a key role in ensuring that all these operations run smoothly and efficiently.

 Job Duties:

 

- Maintain a prominent presence on the floor.

- Ensure effective communication with the kitchen, other outlets, and the front desk regarding food-related matters, VIP guests, reservations, and fluctuations in business levels.

- Relay information to hourly staff about guest expectations, updates to food or drink menus, and special events/programming. This will be accomplished through pre-shift team meetings and post-shift recaps.

- Manage daily responsibilities including scheduling, adjusting staff levels as needed, driving revenue through various competitions, overseeing staff duties during opening, running, and closing shifts, ensuring compliance with uniform and grooming standards, and upholding the hotel’s standards and protocols across departments.

- Facilitate teammate training by organizing onboarding processes, providing consistent training, conducting twice-daily meetings with new hires (before and after shifts), administering timely exams in line with the training manual, and ensuring new team members are properly entered into the system with all necessary tools, uniforms, and supplies for a successful training experience.

- Ensure TIPS certification and Food Handlers Cards are properly documented.

- Adhere to all safety and health department regulations, as well as state and federal liquor laws.

 

Requirements:

- Availability to work both AM and PM shifts as required.

- A strong team player capable of fostering excellent working relationships across the organization. Embrace a collaborative approach with all departments, especially food & beverage and sales & marketing.

- Skilled at breaking down barriers and resolving potential conflicts quickly and smoothly.

- Possess strong communication and presentation abilities for all levels of management.

Compensation Details
