We’re looking for a skilled and motivated mid-level Line Cook to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Line Cook will be responsible for executing high-quality dishes with precision and consistency while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. You should have a strong understanding of French culinary techniques and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You’ll collaborate closely with our culinary team to ensure that each dish meets our high standards for flavor, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, with a focus on contemporary French cuisine.
- Ensure that each dish is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Set up and stock workstations with the necessary ingredients and tools.
- Work efficiently in all areas of the kitchen, including grill, sauté, and pastry sections.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and communication.
- Assist with inventory and ordering supplies when needed.
- Contribute ideas to improve menu items and kitchen processes.
- Help train and mentor junior cooks and assist with their development.
- Adapt to changing menu items or specials as required.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with a focus on French or contemporary cuisine.
- Strong understanding of French culinary techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Experience working on multiple stations (sauté, grill, etc.).
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of kitchen tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
- A passion for food, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
