Position Overview:

As a Deli Manager you will oversee all aspects of the deli department, ensuring top-notch service, quality products, and a smooth, efficient operation. You’ll lead a team of deli associates, manage inventory, maintain high food safety standards, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, train, and supervise deli department staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficiency.

Ensure that all deli & production products meet high standards of quality and freshness by working closely with our kitchen manager.

Manage inventory, including ordering products, receiving deliveries, and maintaining stock levels to reduce waste.

Monitor daily department operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and cleanliness.

Assist customers with orders, special requests, and product recommendations.

Achieve sales goals, maintain budgetary controls, and reduce waste while maximizing department profitability.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked deli department, ensuring all products are properly labeled and priced.

Work closely with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues regarding product quality or pricing.

Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in retail or food service management, ideally in a deli or grocery setting.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling of perishable products.

Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
