Job Details

Growing restaurant group is currently seeking a new team leader to join one of our concepts in NYC as the Executive Chef. Previous Executive Chef/CDC experience is required in the Italian style of cuisine overseeing $4m+ in revenue.  

What we're looking for:

 

Scope

  • At least three years of experience as Executive Chef within an independent/group restaurant setting 
  • Vast love and understanding for simple, ingredient driven Italian cooking 
  • Effective communication skills throughout all stages of conceptualization, daily team management and motivation. 
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and anticipate seasonal/market trends
  • Basic computer and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with and lead a BOH team while executing seamless services daily. 
  • Understanding of financial implications of operational decisions
  • Ability to order products and schedule labor within weekly forecasted budgets
  • Ability to be flexible and always maintain a curious demeanor
  • Thorough knowledge of food handling practices - must have a Food Protection Certificate!
  • Culinary skills and knowledge necessary to execute the entire Grand Tour Hospitality menus consistently daily.
Deliverables 
  • You will work directly with the Culinary Director and Managing Partners to maximize profitability by effectively managing food and labor cost
  • You will help monitor kitchen standard operating procedures to ensure food safety and consistency with the brand's standards
  • You will ensure DOH standards are always followed and that the kitchen is ready to get an "A" at any moment's notice!
  • A good nature and positive attitude. (ability to be adaptable)
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Compensation: Salary ($100,000.00 - $150,000.00)
