Job SummaryThe Bartender is responsible for making, mixing, and pouring alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to
the guests of the bar and restaurant.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests, present menu, answer questions, and make recommendations to guests asnecessary.
- Inform guests about new beverages and specials.
- Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
- Take guest drink (and sometimes food) orders from guests seated at the bar from servers and input orders into the POS system.
- Must have great knowledge of the food menu.
- Prepare guests drinks as ordered.
- Prepare garnishments for drinks.
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Maintain a clean work and bar are by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment as needed.
- Prepare bill and accept payment or refer guest to the appropriate team member.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Always present a clean and professional
- Interact in a courteous and professional manner with guests, supervisors, and team members.
- Any other tasks as assigned.
Physical/ Cognitive Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time during course of shift
- Must be customer-service centric and have excellent hospitality skills.
- Carry out multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry 25 pounds
