ABOUT PINKY SWEAR:
Pinky Swear is more than a bar—it’s an experience. A space where art, food, drink, and human interaction merge into a single, ever-evolving masterpiece. Our venue is an immersive art installation in itself, designed to spark curiosity, ignite creativity, and challenge the boundaries of sensory engagement.
We are looking for an experienced Chef de Cuisine to help lead the culinary vision at Pinky Swear. This position will work closely with Chef Will Horowitz to create, execute, and maintain the kitchen on a day-to-day basis.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all kitchen operations aligned with company standards.
- Quality control and direct oversight during each service.
- Collaborate with the Culinary Director to create and implement new menu items.
- Accomplish human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining hourly teams.
- Develop and mentor the team through training, clear staff communication, constructive feedback, and performance review.
- Ensure consistent execution of company policies and procedures.
- Manage and assist the kitchen team in the procurement, production, preparation, and presentation of all food in a safe, sanitary work environment.
- Oversee kitchen repairs & maintenance.
- Be adaptable—our space and offerings may evolve frequently to keep the experience fresh.
FINANCIAL:
- Monitor, analyze, and control labor and food costs in order to ensure budget and COGS goals are met.
- Maximize location purchasing potential and menu profitability.
- Control and manage inventory to reduce waste.
- Collaborate with FOH management and Culinary Director to meet and exceed sales and budget targets.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS::
- 3+ years as a Sous Chef position OR 1 year as a Chef de Cuisine in full service, high volume restaurants
- NYC Food Protection Certification
- A passion for ingredient-driven cooking, precise technique, and elevated presentation
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a team
- Strong business acumen with experience in food cost control, inventory management, and labor efficiency
- Deep understanding of DOH regulations and food safety compliance
