The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the daily operations of customer-facing services, while ensuring high-quality guest experiences. The Restaurant Manager will partner with the General Manager and VP of Operations to set, meet, and exceed the business goals by ensuring the mission, vision, and core values of Reserve Cut are upheld. The ideal Restaurant Manager will have strong leadership skills, a friendly yet competitive spirit, and a strong passion for creating lasting experiences through food & beverage.
Salary Range $75,000 - $85,000
Essential Requirements & Responsibilities
Day to Day:
- Promote and embody the core values of Reserve Cut, including maintaining exceptional knowledge of the food & beverage we serve and hospitality
- Partner with the General Manager to ensure team members are held accountable for following all steps of service, abiding by the policies and procedures set forth, and provide exceptional customer service
- Engage in steps of service as a manager by greeting guests, check handling, table touches, and goodbyes
- Ensure all VIP guests are acknowledged and content
- Respond to customer complaints and reviews in person or online and inform the General Manager and VP of Operations
- Lead the team into a successful lunch and/or dinner service
- Communicate any issues or 86 items between FOH and kitchen team during service
- Develop and retain positive customer relationships, welcoming them back and/or addressing any needs or concerns they may have
Operational Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations including time keeping, payroll, opening/closing duties, creating floor plans, inventory management, and walk throughs
- Thoroughly inspect all areas of the restaurant to ensure standards are maintained
- Train, evaluate, and schedule staff for all departments
- Respond to guest inquiries and coordinate special arrangements
- Enforce established guidelines and policies of the Company
- Implement and communicate new menus and promotions such as holiday and special event promotions
- Respond to guest questions. Provide guest assistance, direction, and information as requested when working in public areas
- Provide guidance and support for all F&B staff
- Attend all meetings and trainings assigned
- Communicate all guest information/changes to existing information to appropriate departments
- Maintain Resy accounts and update guest notes on their F&B preferences
- Send thorough and accurate daily reports, covering all areas
- Greet all guests, colleagues and clients in a professional and friendly manner
- Handle all inquiries and reservations for the restaurant in a timely manner in order to maximize sales
- Motivate and be proactive in encouraging team commitment and spirit
- Ensure appearance of team members align with Reserve Cut’s grooming standards
- Build morale and team spirit by fostering a positive work environment
- Effectively monitor, coach, and encourage the team providing guidance when needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in a luxury environment, NYC experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and follow directions in English
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Open availability
- Positive, engaging, and energetic personality
- Very high attention to detail and extensive service knowledge
- Must have good knowledge of food preparation, wine, and spirits
- Sensitive to cultural nuances
- Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment
- Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Multi-lingual is a plus
- TIPS, Food Handler's Certification
