We are hiring for a Uniform Assistant for Maxime's!

Maxime’s is NYC’s newest private member’s club from entrepreneur Robin Birley; owner of prestigious private member’s clubs 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s in London. Opened in March this year, Maxime’s mission is to provide exceptional and discreet service for our members through unparalleled hospitality. Our members will feel as though they are in a private home, enjoying outstanding food and wine surrounded by stunning decor.

Maxime’s is seeking a Uniform Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Uniform Manager, the Uniform Assistant will assist in the maintenance and management of the teams uniforms.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting and on occasion managing the uniform room
• Processing staff uniforms and loading uniforms onto the automated system 
• Checking everyone has uniform ready in time for their shifts
• Quality control staff uniforms 
• Carrying out standard uniform repairs and amendments
• Assisting uniform manager with fittings
• Liaising with suppliers
• Labelling uniforms

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2+ years working as a barista in a fine dining restaurant or hotel environment in a similar capacity. 
• Proficiency in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, POS platforms, reservation management platforms, and various business analysis programs.
• Current NYC Food Protection Certificate.
• Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. 

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks. 
• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant. 
• Ability to operate with grace under pressure. 
• Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing up to 50 pounds. 
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates. 
• Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.
