Michele’s is a New American restaurant by Chef Matt Baker of Michelin-starred Gravitas located in The Eaton Hotel.  

Our cuisine is inspired by Baker’s family roots in France and influenced by local ingredients and sensibilities. Michele’s is named after Chef Matt Baker’s mother, who was born in New Orleans to French immigrants. 

Michele’s cocktail program takes an avant-garde approach to French inspired cocktails. We use seasonal produce, cold pressed juices, and unique spirits to an create an immersive beverage experience. Our spirit library will feature spirits with a story. We acquire spirits with brands who consciously work to empower people globally.  At Michele's, we showcase a variety of non-alcoholic creations. We believe that when Non-Alcoholic Cocktails are approached with the same intention as a cocktail, they can have the same magic. 

A minimum experience of one to two years of service in a fine-dining or Chef-driven restaurant is ideal. Menu knowledge and memorization are key for the Bartender role as well as focus, charm, and a high sense of urgency.   • Demonstrates a sincere passion for service and hospitality 
  • Naturally and efficiently seeks ways to go above and beyond for each guest 
  • Demonstrates an ever-improving knowledge of food and beverages offered, including cocktails, by the glass wines and beers, and beverage pairings. 
  • Recipe adherence relating to ingredients, technique, and presentation as communicated by Bar Director and/or Lead Bartender 
  • Demonstrate ability to manage time and multi-task 
  • Complete daily prep lists (mixers, juices, garnishes, etc) or batches 
  • Set up the bar and/or lounge area in a manner that is clean, organized, and efficient 
  • Prepare classic style cocktails 
  • Maintain and continue to develop a knowledge of spirits in our library 
  • Adheres to the standards of fine dining within the dining room and at the bar 
  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. 
  • Set tables and bar seats according to type of event and service standards. 
  • Answers questions on menu selections regarding ingredients and preparation 
  • Communicate with the management and kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability. 
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the management and kitchen and host team. 
  • Record transaction in POS system at time of order. 
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages. 
  • Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment.  
  • Pick-up trays and clean tables as needed to ensure a clean dining area. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of work and guest areas by clearing, collecting and returning food and beverage items to proper area. 
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies. 
  • Complete opening and closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. 
  • Work and communicate with support staff to collaboratively ensure that stations are clean, set, maintained, and broken down accordingly. 
  • Assist in polishing all serviceware before, during, and after the shift.
 


Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($10.00) plus tips

Estimated Weekly Tips: $900
