Job Details
Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and personable Bartender to provide exceptional guest experiences at our restaurant group’s bar. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, engaging with guests, maintaining a well-stocked and organized bar area, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Beverage Preparation & Service

    • Prepare, mix, and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and guest preferences.
    • Suggest wine, beer, and cocktail pairings to enhance the dining experience.
    • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all drinks served.
  2. Guest Interaction & Experience

    • Greet guests warmly, take orders, and provide menu recommendations.
    • Build rapport with patrons, understanding and anticipating their needs.
    • Handle guest queries and concerns professionally and promptly.
  3. Inventory & Stock Management

    • Monitor and maintain sufficient levels of bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
    • Track inventory usage and notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
    • Ensure correct storage of all beverages, following company protocols and health regulations.
  4. Bar Organization & Cleanliness

    • Set up and break down the bar area for each shift, keeping it clean, organized, and well-stocked.
    • Clean and sanitize bar equipment, glassware, and surfaces in compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Maintain proper organization of garnishes, mixers, and other bar tools.
  5. Cash Handling & Point-of-Sale (POS)

    • Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions, following the restaurant’s cash handling policies.
    • Manage tabs and process payments efficiently using the POS system.
    • Balance the cash register at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to management.
  6. Compliance & Safety

    • Adhere to all local, state, and federal alcohol service regulations (e.g., checking IDs, cutting off service when necessary).
    • Observe responsible alcohol service guidelines, ensuring guests are served safely and responsibly.
    • Follow company policies regarding personal appearance, uniform, and hygiene.
  7. Team Collaboration

    • Communicate effectively with servers, barbacks, and management to facilitate smooth service.
    • Collaborate on new drink recipes and promotional beverage strategies with management.
    • Assist in training new bar staff as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience:

    • Previous experience as a bartender in a high-volume or upscale environment preferred.
    • Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and modern mixology trends.
  • Education & Certifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Bartending certification or relevant mixology training is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling.
    • Familiarity with different types of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
    • Strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and time management.
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to guest needs quickly.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions (shaking, stirring).
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Bar environment may involve elevated noise levels and periods of fast-paced service.
  • Flexible work hours are required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($11.00 - $14.00) plus tips
