Bar Bianchi owned and operated by Golden Age Hospitality - the group behind Acme, The Happiest Hour, The Nines, Le Dive and Deux Chats, is currently seeking a hospitality driven Barback to join the team. Bar Bianchi is an Italian inspired wine bar serving natural wine, an aperitivo styled menu with a full ball specializing in spritzes and negroni variations.
We’re looking for an energetic and reliable Barback to join our team! As a Barback, you’ll play a key role in supporting our bartenders by keeping the bar stocked, organized, and running smoothly. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working behind the scenes, and are eager to learn, we’d love to have you on board. Prior experience in a bar or restaurant setting is a plus, but a strong work ethic and positive attitude are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all tasks required to open and set up for service; cleaning all bar surfaces; stocking all beverage glassware, bar napkins, and garnishes; stocking beer, wine, and liquor to pars; cleaning and stocking all bar tools needed for service; setting the bar up with ice for service.
- Restock the bar throughout the night to levels appropriate for a successful service.
- Assist bartenders with clearing empty drinks, water glasses, finished plates/silverwear; serving bar patrons food, pouring wine, and making basic cocktails as needed.
- Provide warm and welcoming service to guests; create memorable guest experiences.
- Anticipate guests' needs and create strong guest relationships; recognize regulars and industry leaders.
- Maintain current knowledge of all food and beverage menus.
- Assist in daily sidework.
- Provide general assistance to waiters, bartenders, and management as needed.
- Assist in the breakdown and closing of the bar.
Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant is a plus.
