An upcoming high-end Japanese restaurant at The Hotel Chelsea is now hiring Server Assistants. We are looking for experienced hospitality professionals to join our team and take part in this highly anticipated opening. We are currently focused on candidates with full-time availability and at least one year of upscale dining experience.
*** PLEASE NOTE: We will require you to work a minimum of 4 dinner shifts per week, between Tuesdays and Saturdays (the restaurant will not be open Sundays and Mondays).
This is an exciting opening of a new restaurant, so upon being hired, please also expect two weeks of paid training starting mid-April.

About This Role:
Server Assistants are responsible for supporting Servers with the guest experience at the table, including table maintenance, running food, ensuring all service stations are stocked and maintained and having a general command of the food and beverage menu.
Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assists all servers in providing quality food and beverage service to guests according to specifications, courteously and efficiently
- Maintains cleanliness of tables, bar area, service areas and equipment
- Stocks all wares and equipment needed for service
- Stays on top of table maintenance
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 1+ year’s experience as a server assistant in a high-volume restaurant
- A positive attitude and passion for providing exceptional hospitality service
- Flexible work schedules: the ability to work night, weekends, holidays, as business permits
- The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbs
- Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
