Sfoglina Rosslyn is Hiring Bartenders!

Sfoglina is inspired by the female pasta makers of Italy—today it’s cultural icons--who carried on the tradition and the art of making pasta by hand. This craft is showcased daily in our pasta rooms. Sfoglina serves light and seasonal salads, appetizers, shareable meat and seafood entrees, and authentic, family-favorite Italian desserts. Our charming venues feature a whimsical design and timeless Italian cocktails, approachable Italian wines, and comfy patios for al fresco dining.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Actively participates in all front of house training programs and consistently meets training expectations.   
  • Consistently provides guests with warm service   
  • Anticipates and accommodates guest needs throughout service.  
  • Establishes positive relationships with guests
  • Sets up the bar according to layout standards.   
  • Assists in preparing juices, garnishes and syrups needed at the bar.    
  • Stocks refrigeration units with beer, wine, juice, and water products.  
  • Presents and explains menus to guests at the bar.  
  • Provides food and beverage recommendations to bar patrons.  
  • Correctly mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons at the bar and dining room.  
  • Maintains bar cleanliness and organization. 
  • Correctly follows all cash-handling protocols.  
  • Checks identification of all guests who appear under the age of 30.  
  • Monitors guest sobriety.  
  • Completes daily closing reports.  
  • Assists in counting china, glass, silver and linen.  
  • Conducts all required Opening, Side-Work, Hand-Over and Closing Duties as outlined by Fabio Trabocchi Restaurants and management.   
  • Consistently maintains Grooming Standards.  
  • Reviews, understands and communicates guest-preference data to appropriate persons.    
  • Maintains mastery-level knowledge of all food and beverage menu-items, ingredients and preparation processes.  
  • Consistently able to speak confidently about the menu and to offer well-informed guidance in the selection of menu items and beverages.  
  • Performs additional tasks at the direction of management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of bar experience in an upscale casual or fine dining restaurant, exp. with high volume a plus
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Professional appearance and grooming standards appropriate for a premier fine dining restaurant
  • Previous experience with Italian or Spanish restaurants a plus
  • Full and part time positions available

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($8.00) plus tips
