We are a small group of passionate professionals who own and operate a French wine bar and deli in Union Market. In addition to the wine, we also have a full bar and cocktail program, and we serve a menu of sandwiches, cheese, and charcuterie.
La Jambe at Union Market is looking to add to our team and are hiring for a part time or full time bartender position. This candidate would be closing the stall, so evening and weekend availability is required for this position. This is a perfect opportunity for a student with some prior bartending experience and for someone possessing a passion for hospitality, wine, cocktails, cheese, and charcuterie.
Responsibilities:
Verify identification and age requirements of customers
Mix traditional and creative cocktails, as well as serve beer and wine
Process payment from customers
Clean glasses and bar utensils
Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
Other requirements:
Can cover evening shifts as well as holiday season shifts
Works well in a small team environment; must be a team player
You enjoy learning and seek to grow your knowledge on cheese, charcuterie, wine, and cocktails
You are naturally engaging and outgoing. We want our guests to feel as though they are part of the family. We have regulars that our staff greets by first name.

Adherence to all health code standards
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.; able to stand for long periods of time
Bonus qualities:
Current ABRA license
Wine certifications or training
French speaking
Sign Language knowledge
