Bad Brother is looking for a part time Bartender / Server. We are a small family owned restaurant with a very small staff with limited support staff. The willingness and ability to be cross trained to work both positions and pitch in wherever necessary is necessary. Currently we have 1 bartending shift & 1 -2 serving shifts available depending on the week. Willingness to pick up the occasional shift is important. Our menu changes daily and must be willing to put in the time regularly to keep up. Must have working base knowledge of Food, Wine, Craft Beer, and Cocktails. Our service is detailed but unobtrusive and informal, must have an advanced understanding of steps of service and have the ability to connect with customers.
We look to bring fine dining level detail to our products and service in a casual neighborhood setting.
We charge 20% service fee on all in house checks. This is then distributed to pay FOH hourly rates as well as supplement BOH hourly rates to make sure they are paid liveable, competitive wages as well. This position pays base $20 an hour + additional tips which are shared in a tip pool model by the FOH staff. This position can expect to make an average of $29 per hour pre-tax, all said and done and shifts are 6-8 hours on average.
Requirements:
- 100% positive attitude on the busiest nights of the week and 100% positive attitude on the slowest nights of the week
- Must work CLEAN
- Quick moving, efficient team player
- Willing to work weekends and late nights
- Must be willing to help with scheduling conflicts and fill in when possible
- Must intend to stay for at least 1 year
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Must be RAMP certified
- Must be willing to train and continue to learn
- Ability to multitask and handle stress in a face paced environment
