Bartender

Bar56 is looking for an experienced and passionate Bartender to join our team for part time work 2-3 shifts per week. Nestled in the historic Empire Stores in DUMBO, we specialize in an ever-evolving selection of authentic wines, classic cocktails, and elevated bar fare. We’re seeking someone who is both knowledgeable and hospitable, capable of crafting impeccable drinks while delivering a top-tier guest experience.

• Prepare and serve a curated selection of cocktails, wines, and spirits with precision and care.
• Engage with guests to provide recommendations and enhance their experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar, ensuring all mise en place is set for service.
• Collaborate with the team to uphold Bar56’s service standards and atmosphere.
• Monitor inventory, handle cash and card transactions, and comply with all health and safety regulations.

• 2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume, hospitality-driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and spirits.
• A warm, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
• The ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced setting.
• Availability for nights and weekends.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Must have 4 years + experience in a fast paced NYC restaurant as a Bartender 
• Must be able to lift & a carry at least 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be comfortable with repetitive motions (such as walking, bending & standing)
• Must be knowledgeable of Industry critics & awards
• Must have full schedule availability including lunches and Sundays
• Must be able to take constructive criticisms and work well in a team dynamic
