Opened in December 2024, Shy Shy is a Pacific Northwest-inspired bar in the heart of Chelsea, brought to you by the team behind Jungle Bird. Our cocktail menu is designed to capture the elegance of golden-hour martinis, while our atmosphere offers the warmth of an intimate cocktail party at a coastal retreat. We are committed to delivering an elevated yet approachable hospitality experience in a chic and lively setting.
Position Overview:
We are looking for experienced servers to join our team and help create a welcoming, high-energy environment for our guests. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, a strong understanding of cocktails and cuisine, and the ability to provide seamless service in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Exceptional Service – Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly service while ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for guests.
- Know the Menu Inside & Out – Be well-versed in our cocktails, wines, spirits, and food offerings to make recommendations and guide guests through their experience.
- Work as a Team – Communicate effectively with bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and a cohesive guest experience.
- Maintain a Clean & Organized Workspace – Keep service stations stocked and assist in maintaining a polished and professional dining atmosphere.
- Handle Transactions Accurately – Process orders, manage payments, and ensure proper billing in coordination with the bar team.
Qualifications:
- Experience – Minimum of 3 years of serving experience in a high-volume or cocktail-driven environment.
- Knowledge – Knowledge with cocktails, wine, and spirits is a essential, with a willingness to expand knowledge.
- Attitude – A positive, team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Communication Skills – Ability to engage with guests warmly and handle high-pressure situations with grace.
- Availability – Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
