Innovative new cocktail bar, Apartment 5, seeking creative and experienced bartenders to join our team. Full Time/Part Time.
Role Expectations:
Must have at least two years of experience in an elevated cocktail bar environment, preferably with NYC experience. This role requires a deep understanding of craft cocktails and spirits, and a dedication to maintaining a high standard of service.
- Thorough knowledge of classic cocktails and interest in spirits
- Attention to detail and aesthetically beautiful presentation
- Friendly and personable, able to engage with guests
- Comfortable with occassionally performing barback and serving duties if it is required
- Assist in enforcing and maintaining health and safety standards, including responsible alcohol service practices (TIPS certification is a plus)
- This is a customer-facing (FOH) position so interpersonal/service skills are a must
- Help to foster a positive environment for both guests and other members of our team, and provide exceptional service to guests
- Some hybrid shifts as a server will be required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bartender in a high-end cocktail bar
- In-depth knowledge of mixology, including cocktail recipes and proper techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
