As a Maitre'D with us you are responsible for cooperating with the Management team and supervising the Host team to greet incoming and departing guests with a warm, knowledgeable & noticeably appreciative demeanor and a genuine smile with eye contact. The Maitre'D must be capable of working in a team-oriented environment to achieve the restaurant’s common goal of guest satisfaction. The Maitre'D must be personable with guests and be able to anticipate their needs.
This is a part-time position and requires flexible schedule availability: including nights, and weekends. The rate for this position ranges from $20 an hour to $23 an hour (based on experience) + gratuities.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have 2 years + experience in a fast paced NYC restaurant as a Lead Host or Maitre'D
- Experience working with Resy is preferred
- Must be knowledgeable of Industry critics & awards
- Must have full schedule availability including weekends
- Must be able to take constructive criticism and work well in a team dynamic
SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be warm, knowledgeable and noticeably appreciative
- Accommodate guests by making each individual feel welcome
- Act professionally and always maintain composure
- Identify and report problems to management immediately
- Be aware of service flow, dining timing, and adjust for each guest’s individual needs
- Implement and follow steps of service
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The Maitre'D should
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time [over 5 hours]
- Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily
- Be comfortable bending, sitting, walking extended distances including up and down flights of stairs, and moving.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $25.00) plus tips
