Hourly Pay Rate: $ 16.50 per hour (DOE and state)

Gjelina Restaurant in Noho on Bond St. is seeking an experienced Server to join our dynamic team!

Position Summary:
As a server at Gjelina NYC, you are a key part of delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will be the main point of contact for guests, providing high-quality service with a fine dining approach and extensive food and beverage knowledge. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Essential Duties:

• Greet guests, take orders, and ensure efficient service.
• Maintain knowledge of the food and beverage menu, including allergens and pairings.
• Handle guest interactions with professionalism and grace.
• Keep server stations organized and assist with opening and closing duties.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Attend training and stay up-to-date with menu changes.

Qualifications:

• Applicants should have 2 years of service experience in a high volume/upscale environment
• Have worked with a progressive wine program and passionate about small producers
• Depth of knowledge in classic and craft cocktails
• Understands the difference between being a leader vs an order taker
• Enjoys education and sharing.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility with work schedules, including nights and weekends. 

*Must have open availability for Saturday, Sunday and Monday*

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must work in varying environmental conditions (cold, heat, wet surfaces).

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced, with moderate noise and varying conditions (hot, cold, wet).
