About Kama Bistro
Kama Bistro is a modern, upscale Indian bistro offering a unique dining experience with elevated Indian cuisine, craft cocktails, and a curated selection of wines. We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Servers.
Job SummaryAs a Server at Kama Bistro, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience to our guests by delivering outstanding service, sharing menu knowledge, and ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You will work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure a seamless flow of service while upholding the restaurant's standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities- Greet guests warmly and provide an engaging dining experience.
- Present menus, explain dishes, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and quality.
- Be knowledgeable about the menu, including ingredients, allergens, spice levels, and wine pairings.
- Upsell and suggest menu pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Monitor tables, anticipate guest needs, and respond to requests efficiently.
- Ensure a clean and organized dining area, including resetting tables for the next service.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Follow all restaurant policies, health and safety regulations, and alcohol service guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient shift.
- Handle guest concerns professionally, resolving issues with a focus on hospitality.
- Previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and beverages (or willingness to learn).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, team-oriented attitude with a passion for hospitality.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods

For example, traditional techniques like charcoal tandoor grill is combined with sous vide to create the perfect lamb chops marinated in garam masala and yellow pepper.
Indian cuisine is no stranger to fusion, it has evolved over thousands of years influenced by other world cuisines, such as Middle Eastern in the North, Portuguese in the Southwest, French in the Southeast, and Chinese in the Northeast. We play a tiny role in influencing American cuisine with the vibrancy and boldness of Indian cuisine.
