ITO Omakase is looking to hire a Sommelier.
***Sake and japanese whiskey knowledge is a must.***
***Omakase experience preferred.***
This person will work alongside the rest of the beverage team, striving to constantly improve the guest experience, as well as ensuring quality and consistency of the restaurant’s beverage program..
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

This person will work alongside the rest of the beverage team, striving to constantly improve the guest experience, as well as ensuring quality and consistency of the restaurant’s beverage program..
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Stock inventory. Maintain pars for wine BTG and pairing selections.
- Work the floor nightly and provide wine and beverage service along with any and all other service needs that arise.
- Maintain proper storage and organization of the wine cellars & bar.
- Support captains & servers with dining SOPs.
- Ensure quality of beverages.
- Offer sake, wine, and spirits expertise, guide guests about wine and oversee service in the entire restaurant by being present on the floor.
- Build guest loyalty by creating and maintaining guest preference notes related to wine consumption & enjoyment.
- Monitor and make sure quality of food and beverages is at its highest.
- Assist with beverage inventories.
- Monitor the quality and par levels of wine glassware and decanters.
- Communicate wine/sake/spirit lows, 86's and info on new wines to Chef Sommelier.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($10.00 - $15.00) plus tips
