Key responsibilities of a Toast-tab Inventory Control Specialist might include:

Stock checks:

Regularly performing physical counts of inventory items using the Toast-tab system to compare against recorded levels and identify discrepancies. Involves lifting boxes up to 40lbs and working in a full service restaurant kitchen and food storage setting and remaining on your feet for periods of time.

Receiving orders:

Verifying incoming deliveries against purchase orders and accurately entering details into Toast-tab to update inventory records.

Accounting experience:

  • Proficient in accounting principles, including GAAP and double entry bookkeeping
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliation
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks & SAGE
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes

Inventory adjustments:

Making necessary adjustments to inventory levels in Toast-tab based on factors like damaged goods, spoilage, or transfers between locations.

Par level management:

Monitoring stock levels to ensure they are maintained within predetermined "par levels" to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Reporting and analysis:

Generating reports from Toast-tab to identify trends in inventory usage, potential cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Vendor communication:

Collaborating with suppliers to manage deliveries, pricing, and product availability.
