Position: Executive Chef

📍 Location: Soho, Manhattan, NYC
💰 Salary: $130,000 - $155,000 + bonus potential

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Leadership: Take charge of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and successful restaurant opening.
  • Menu Development: Design and execute a seasonally inspired Italian menu, emphasizing high-quality ingredients and innovative flavors.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee all kitchen activities, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and excellence.
  • Food Quality & Presentation: Maintain the highest standards in flavor, consistency, and visual appeal.
  • Cost & Inventory Control: Manage purchasing, supplier relationships, and food costs to optimize efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing culinary team, fostering a collaborative and inspiring work culture.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Front-of-House leadership to deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Financial Management: Oversee P&L, labor costs, and kitchen expenses, optimizing financial performance.
Qualifications

5+ years of Executive Chef experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
Proven success in restaurant openings – experience launching new concepts is required.
Deep expertise in Italian cuisine, with a preference for Northern Italian specialties.
✔ Strong knowledge of menu planning, food costing, and inventory control.
✔ Experience leading and developing a high-performing kitchen team.
✔ Thorough understanding of kitchen hygiene, safety regulations, and best practices.
✔ Bilingual (Spanish or Italian) is a plus but not required.
✔ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
