Blue Hill at Stone Barns is seeking an Executive Chef for Events.
We are pursuing an experienced and driven chef to lead our events kitchen.
Together with our nonprofit partner, Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture, we are dedicated to curating exceptional dining experiences in our Cafeteria and community events, corporate functions, weddings, and private gatherings.
As the Executive Chef for Events you will play a key role in executing memorable experiences by designing creative menus, adjusting menus to client requests and dietary restrictions, and overseeing all aspects of food preparation, service, and team leadership.
You will be responsible for the culinary oversight of our cafeteria menu, community events, and private events.

- Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe or Food Handlers Certificate) preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Events Kitchen team, ensuring food preparation, quality, and service standards are upheld.
- Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of food items and menus for our cafeteria, community events, on-site private events, and off-site events as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and culinary team to develop new menu items, recipes, and creative presentations.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety protocols are met in the kitchen at all times, including adherence to food safety codes and fire regulations.
- Assist with recipe testing, ingredient selection, and menu design.
- Coordinate closely with the events team to understand client needs, dietary restrictions, and client specific event requirements.
The Details:
- Compensation: Salaried position commensurate with experience, between $140 and $160K, plus bonus contingent on performance.

- Location & Hours: Full-time, in-person position at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, NY (~1 hr drive from NYC). Must be available for evenings and weekends.
