Summary of Position:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to the restaurant’s standards. They ensure consistency in food quality, portioning, presentation, and sanitation. They work under the guidance of the Head Chef to maintain efficient kitchen operations while adhering to safety and cleanliness protocols.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items based on the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared with high quality and meets the restaurant’s standards for taste, presentation, and freshness.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of menu items, ensuring consistency and timeliness.
- Monitor food inventory and notify the kitchen supervisor or head chef when ingredients are low.
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service, particularly during peak hours.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is kept clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
- Follow all kitchen policies and procedures, including portion control and food storage guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and other restaurant staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing training to improve cooking techniques, food knowledge, and kitchen safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of previous kitchen or cooking experience is required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($17.00 - $19.00)
