We are looking for a part-time Barista/Catering Attendant with hospitality and customer-facing experience. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, barista experience, and the ability to assist with catering setup and service. A passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality and consistent coffee and tea-based beverages with a customer-comes-first mindset.
- Anticipates client concerns and needs.
- Maintain cleanliness of the cafe throughout the shift.
- Restock food and beverage items as directed by management.
- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Follow NYC Department of Health regulations.
- Assembles and delivers all food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
- Arrange buffet tables with food, beverage, and service items according to standards.
- Thoroughly clean the location after the event is completed.
- Returns food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to designated area and restocks. everything for the next day of service.
- Help manage, count, and organize the inventory for the café.
Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years hospitality experience in a customer-facing position
- Passion for food, beverage, and hospitality
- Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to describe menu items
- Anticipates guest needs and derives satisfaction from providing excellent customer service
- Professional demeanor and polished appearance with a warm and welcoming personality
- Experience with restaurant POS systems, cash, and credit card handling is a plus
- Strong work ethic, well organized, focused, attentive to detail with a sense of urgency
- Dependable and punctual
- Enthusiastic, team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., reach bend, and stand throughout an 8-hour shift
- Food Handler’s Certificate a plus

Rate: $22.00/hour
Job Type: Part-time, On-Site, Monday – Friday AM
