JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a General Manager at The Flatiron Room, you will oversee managing restaurant operations and staff. Responsibilities include planning, directing, training, and leading as necessary to achieve objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service & satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and overall positive company work environment. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials. As the general manager your role is to ensure the operations of the business are running smoothly and efficiently at the highest quality.
GENERAL DUTIES
- Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs and followed and completed on a timely basis.
- Direct and coordinate day-to-day operations, service, menu, restaurant environment, cleanliness standards, food safety and internal marketing initiatives at the units.
- Coordinate between all departments for smooth and efficient implementation of food and beverage initiatives, service initiatives, operational updates, and training programs.
- Direct or coordinate financial or budget activities to increase efficiency.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and motivation to employees to achieve goals and objectives.
- Facilitate open communication with team members to improve organizational efficiencies.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving and building maintenance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have 3+ year’s experience in a management role
- Be able to communicate and understand English.
- Have knowledge of service, food, and beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations.
- Possess basic math skills and the ability to operate POS and reservation system
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50
