Position:

  • Title: Executive Chef
  • Location: Manhattan, NYC
  • Salary: $140,000 - $150,000
  • Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Design and implement seasonal, innovative menus reflecting Italian cuisine.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee daily operations, ensure efficiency, and maintain high standards.
  • Food Quality & Presentation: Maintain consistency in preparation, taste, and plating.
  • Cost & Inventory Control: Manage purchasing, supplier relations, and food costs.
  • Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and foster a positive work culture among kitchen staff.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  • Financial Management: Track and optimize profit & loss (P&L), labor costs, and overall expenses.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in an upscale, high-volume restaurant.
  • Strong Italian culinary expertise, with a preference for Northern Italian cuisine.
  • Proficient in menu planning, food costing, and inventory control.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development experience.
  • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Italian) is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
