POSITION SUMMARY: Coastal Asian Proxi is seeking a motivated and experienced professional who loves to have fun at work, has hospitality running through their veins, has a true understanding of quality, and wants to join the leadership team of one of the country’s best restaurants.
Candidates should have experience in successful, upscale dining (award-winning chef-driven restaurant). 

A minimum of four (3) years of experience is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead a team with integrity and open communication
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility sanitation, and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Make employment and termination decisions consistent with company guidelines for approval or review.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Participate in Weekly Manager's Meetings.
  • Maintains a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean, and professional image
  • Promotes cooperative effort, team spirit, and good morale among employees
  • Thorough understanding of all FOH hourly roles and duties and ability to jump in and support the team as needed.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu and trains the staff on the same
  • Collaborates with the Chef, marketing, and social media teams on creative ideas for driving guest and employee engagement
  • Prioritizes hospitality including personally greeting guests and checking in on tables during service
  • Resolves guest's issues in a polite, friendly manner always making sure we follow up with them when needed (also reporting all escalated situations to the General Manager)
  • Has a strong understanding of Proxi's history, values, and philosophy

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($60,000.00 - $70,000.00)

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

  • High School Diploma or GED graduate
  • Open availability
  • 3 years minimum previous management experience is required
  • Illinois Manager Food Sanitation Certification, Allergen Certification, and BASSET Certification required
  • Ability to manage and accel during periods of high volume
  • Desire to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with 7shifts, Tock, and/or Toast preferred. Experience with Resy is a plus! 
  • A strong bar background is a plus, especially experience with ordering, menu development, creativity, and inventory management
  • Team Management
  • Must have a working knowledge of restaurant management and operations.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with a variety of business partners.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Attention to Detail and Love of Hospitality

 

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($60,000.00 - $75,000.00)
