Five Acres is now open in the heart of Rockefeller Center! This is Greg Baxtrom's new addition to the Olmsted and Patti Ann’s family and his first venture in Manhattan! 
Rockefeller Center hustle and bustle with the approchability of a Brooklyn neighborhood restaurant.

We are looking for a part-time Food Runner and Busser.

Food Runner will coordinate with the kitchen on all dishes being delivered to our guests. You'll know the menu, front to back, and understand allergens and ingredients.  As a Busser, you will help clean and set tables, run beverages, do sidework, refill waters, bring plates to dish area in kitchen.

Candidate prerequisites:

• Solid 3 plate carry
• Experienced in fast pace service
• Ability to deliver plates to the table without disturbing the integrity of the dish.
• Able and willing to work as part of a team 
• High level of interest in food
• Ability to memorize how to finish plates (with garnish, spice or herbs, etc.)
• Experience with non-verbal communication 
• Creative and self-motivated problem solver

Additional requirements:

• Must be able to lift/move up to 10lbs, frequently lift/move up to 25lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• English proficiency 

Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously

Compensation Details:

• Compensation: Hourly, plus tips

About us:

Chef Greg Baxtrom’s first restaurant Olmsted was a James Beard Awards Finalist for Best New Restaurant in 2017. The owners started the NYC Hospitality Coalition, a food bank for those impacted by COVID-19, and the Black Entrepreneur Series pop-up in the space of Maison Yaki (our sister restaurant) this year.
