Masquerade is a Persian restaurant and cocktail bar in south Williamsburg Brooklyn. We have a small crew in our kitchen and looking for a solid line cook to join our team. We are currently open Wednesday through Saturday and Tuesdays are for production and prep. We are planning to open Tuesday next month and open for brunch in spring.
The ideal candidate is: trustworthy, respectful, fast, have a sense of humor, clean and organized, knows about DOH regulations, can multi task, pays attention to details, communicates well and can work both cold and hot station. We are looking for someone who has some baking knowledge as we make our own bread and buns.
Your responsibilities are:
-Receiving orders (fish, chicken, meat, produce etc.)
-Prep on Production day
-Preparing medium to large batch of sauces and Stews
-sautéing
-Making dough for bread
-Making bread per order
-Making rice, mix them with other ingredients and portion them for service
-Cooking fish, chicken, meat (all in electric oven, electric griddle, electric stack oven)
-Deep frying (electric fryer)
-Make salad, cheese plates, yogurt dips etc.
-Helping the team to prepare large quantity of dishes for large dinner parties and private parties
