About Us
Naxos is a brand-new Mediterranean and Spanish fusion restaurant opening in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We are on a mission to blend the rich flavors of the Mediterranean with Spanish influences in a sophisticated yet vibrant setting. We are looking for a creative, passionate, and highly experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen and shape our culinary identity.
Position: Executive Chef
Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000–$95,000(DOE) + Performance-Based Bonuses
Start Date: TBD
Key Responsibilities
• Menu Development – Create an innovative, seasonally inspired Mediterranean and Spanish fusion menu.
• Kitchen Leadership – Build, train, and manage a high-performing culinary team.
• Quality Control – Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Cost Management – Oversee food costs, portion control, inventory, and supplier negotiations.
• Compliance & Safety – Ensure the kitchen meets all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Collaboration – Work closely with management and marketing to develop signature dishes and special events.
• Customer Experience – Engage with diners and create a memorable culinary journey.
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
• Strong background in Mediterranean, Spanish, or Latin fusion cuisine.
• Proven ability to develop menus and manage food costs efficiently.
• Experience leading kitchen teams of 10+ staff members.
• Understanding of modern plating, flavor profiles, and industry trends.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
