Popular hospitality-driven restaurant group is seeking a passionate, energetic Assistant General Manager to lead the team at one of their concepts in the San Gabriel Valley area. The menu features Southern American comfort food with a California twist, and everything made in-house using the freshest ingredients. Looking for someone with outstanding leadership and organizational skills and a passion for interacting with guests and modeling top notch service standards to the team. Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of the job with a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Establish positive work culture
  • Provide Support for GM
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with all vendors, business partners, and staff
  • Encourage opportunities for the team to learn and grow
  • Continually strive to educate and develop of staff as it relates to food, beverage, and service
  • Ensure stellar guest experience in all areas
  • Solve any guest issues in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Oversee and positively impact all areas of the business including: sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all products served
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
  • Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements

Assistant General Manager Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience as Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) or 4+ years as a Restaurant Manager, Senior Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Dining Room Manager, FOH Manager in an upscale fast casual or full-service restaurant concept
  • An infectious, positive attitude and outstanding hospitality skills
  • Energetic and dynamic personality
  • The ability to lead, manage and train a staff of 40 or more team members
  • Strong leader and motivator to the staff and management
  • A lead by example approach
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and maintain composure
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Experience in assisting with managing inventory and cost controls
  • Computer proficiency, including the use of Microsoft office
  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, craft cocktail culture, and current industry trends
  • Able to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Develops relationships with guests to create & maintain guest retention
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Open availability to work nights, weekends and most major holidays

Compensation Includes:

  • Base Salary in the $80-85k range DOE
  • Quarterly Bonus Potential
