Job Details
Job Responsibilities and Duties

Operational Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bakery to ensure smooth running and high standards of service, including ensuring proper staffing levels at all times.
  • Manage retail-related inventory levels, order retail related supplies, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the bakery is well-stocked and cost-efficient.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely production and availability of products.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and operations.
  • Ensure quality control of all beverages, providing additional training as needed.
  • Oversight of delivery and pickup platforms to maintain revenue targets set by partners.
  • Implement strategies to increase productivity and sales, while maintaining quality.


Wholesale ManagementGeneral Overview 
  • Supervise in-house operations to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency.
  • Manage wholesale orders, ensuring accurate tracking and fulfillment.
  • Coordinate production schedules to align with order demands and maintain consistency.
  • Oversee quality control to uphold Laurel Bakery’s standards for all products.
  • Organize and monitor delivery logistics to guarantee timely and accurate order distribution.
Sales Operations
  • Handle inbound sales inquiries and foster new customer relationships.
  • Lead outbound sales efforts to expand wholesale partnerships and retail reach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners to support business growth.
Training and Development
  • Oversee employee onboarding to ensure new team members are properly trained and integrated into the bakery.
  • Provide ongoing training to develop staff skills and maintain service excellence.
Documentation and Communication
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure clarity and consistency in operations that entail redundancies to prevent mistakes from occurring. 
  • Facilitate effective team communication to keep staff informed and aligned with business objectives.
  • Track and report key performance metrics, including sales and operational performance.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges, ensuring seamless day-to-day functionality.
  • Act as a point of contact for problem-solving across different aspects of the business.
Administrative and Daily ResponsibilitiesSchedule and Payroll
  • Manage barista scheduling, payroll processing for all employees, and other administrative tasks to ensure the bakery runs smoothly.
  • Upload and organize bakery invoices on a weekly basis, working closely with the Head Baker and vendors to address any discrepancies.
  • Perform weekly cash duties, ensuring all cash deposits and tip distributions are properly recorded and processed.
Human Resources:
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, performance appraisals, and employee development programs.
  • Lead, motivate, and train staff to ensure a high level of performance and morale.
  • Ensure HR documentation is all consistent and uniform to Redwood Hospitality’s systems.
  • Address employee grievances, enforce disciplinary actions, and ensure a harmonious workplace environment.

Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations concerning health, safety, and the Department of Health requirements.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols to protect employees and customers, including regular health and safety audits.
  • Stay updated with industry standards and regulations related to food safety and sanitation.
Hospitality and Guest Relations:
  • Maintain and Model Redwood Hospitality Values. 
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and efficiently, implementing measures to prevent future issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers, gathering feedback to improve services and products

Requirements
  • Experience working in a Bakery or Cafe with Wholesale accounts.
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and efficiently, implementing measures to prevent future issues.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field is preferred.
