Upon The Palace Restaurant is seeking experienced Bartenders & Cocktail Servers to join our team.
We are currently focused on candidates with both part time and full time with open availability for both
lunch & dinner * please note weekends are a must *

Upscale - Fine dining experience preferred

Bartenders responsible for all aspects of guests' experience at the table: greeting, menu sales, table maintenance, guest satisfaction and happiness, deep understanding of the menu including aversions, allergies and substitutions.

We are looking for candidates that are passionate about the hospitality industry and provide impeccable service for all guests.

Bartender Requirements:

Minimum of 1+ years of bartending experience
Advanced knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
Proven track record of creating innovative and popular cocktails.
Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) preferred

Inventory Control:
Manage bar inventory, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and garnishes.

Regularly conduct inventory checks and order supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels.

Monitor and minimize waste and loss of inventory.

Analyze sales data to identify trends and adjust inventory accordingly.
Cocktail Creation and Service:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive cocktail menu, including classic and innovative drinks.

Ensure all bartenders are proficient in crafting cocktails according to established recipes and standards.

Monitor the quality of drinks and ensure proper presentation.

Stay updated on current mixology trends and introduce new cocktails as needed.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, including greeting them warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any concerns promptly.

Build rapport with regular customers and cater to their preferences.

Handle customer complaints professionally and seek solutions to ensure satisfaction.
Financial Management:
Monitor bar sales and ensure accurate cash handling procedures.

Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase revenue.

Manage bar expenses within budget parameters.
Operational Management:
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws and age verification procedures.

Monitor and address any potential issues related to guest behavior or safety.

Collaborate with other departments within the establishment to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bartending Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a bartender with a proven track record of providing excellent customer service in comparable establishment
Mixology Expertise:
Advanced knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, including techniques for creating innovative drinks.
Leadership Skills:

Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively, providing clear direction and support.
Inventory Management Skills:

Proficiency in managing inventory levels, minimizing waste, and accurately tracking stock.
Customer Service Focus:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with guests.
Financial Acumen:

Understanding of basic financial principles and the ability to analyze sales data.
Organizational Abilities:

Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
