Position Overview:
We’re looking for a passionate, friendly, and skilled Barista to join our team as we open our doors to the Greenpoint community. If you love crafting exceptional coffee, providing excellent customer service, and working in a vibrant, collaborative environment, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and matcha beverages
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including grinders and espresso machines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including prep and closing duties
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Support café operations, including stocking supplies and handling transactions
- Assist in preparing light food items such as sandwiches, onigiri, and baked goods
Qualifications:
- Previous barista experience required; shift supervisor experience is a plus
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine operation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
- A passion for coffee, food, and fostering a community atmosphere
Schedule & Availability:
- Full-time or part-time positions available
- Flexible schedule preferred, including weekends
- Early morning availability is required
