As a Busser, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and flow of the lounge. You will work closely with the cocktail servers and bartenders to ensure that the lounge is consistently clean, well-stocked, and operating efficiently throughout the night. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, upscale setting.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that tables and back of house areas are cleaned and sanitized regularly throughout the night. Clear empty glasses, and other used items promptly, keeping the space organized and ready for new guests.
- Support cocktail servers, and bartenders by restocking glassware, napkins, straws, garnishes, and other essentials.
- Anticipate guest needs by proactively removing empty glasses from tables. Help keep the lounge environment comfortable and inviting for guests.
- Ensure that all glassware is promptly collected and brought to the back for cleaning. Maintain proper handling and organization of glassware, ensuring no shortages during peak hours.
- Help prepare the lounge before service by organizing seating areas, setting up drink stations, and ensuring that everything is in place. After service, assist with breaking down the space, cleaning, and restocking the next shift.
- Keep an eye on high-traffic areas of the lounge and ensure that they remain clean and clutter free.
- Communicate effectively with the team to anticipate needs and maintain operational flow.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a busser, runner, or similar role in a high-end cocktail lounge is required
- Ability to stand for long periods, move quickly between tables, and carry tray or large amounts of glassware and bottles
- A keen eye for cleanliness and organization. Ability to maintain a tidy and inviting atmosphere for guests
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks at once while maintaining high standards of service
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse team. Willingness to help out wherever needed to ensure smooth operations
- A positive, friendly, and service-oriented approach. Ability to anticipate guest needs and respond to them promptly and professionally
- Availability to work late-night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain a polished and professional appearance in line with the high standards of the venue
