Smoke Jazz Club is seeking professional and self-motivated Line Cooks!
The ideal Chef de Partie candidate is friendly (we are friendly-please be nice too!) curious, and interested in becoming an integral member of a small team that values excellent ingredients, hard work and attention to detail.
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years in a Line Cook position at a full-service restaurant
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Integrity, high standards, resilience, and the willingness to pitch in to help the team whenever necessary.
- The ability to perform physical requirements of the position (stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs).
- Strong knowledge in safe food and knife handling, with Food Safety Certification preferred
- Proficiency in prep, saute and broiler
- Familiarity with industry’s best practices
- Ability to prepare food for service (prepare vegetables and sauces, butcher fish and meat)
- Ability to clean station thoroughly after service and properly label and store leftover food and supplies
- Check inventory for ingredients and supplies, noting when more need to be ordered

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($24.00 - $27.00)
