About Us:

Here at The Consulate, we pride ourselves on creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests through high-quality, innovative dishes and outstanding service. We're seeking a dynamic and passionate Culinary  Chef to join our team and elevate the skills of our back-of-house staff. This role will focus on following our menus and recipes as for our Executive Chef. Creating daily specials for the restaurant.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to work alongside our existing Executive Chef and kitchen team, sharing their knowledge of modern cooking trends, innovative dishes, and advanced techniques. This is a fully operational position focused on every day restaurant duties. You will serve as a mentor, guiding our team through hands-on cooking  to enhance their culinary proficiency and inspire creativity in the kitchen. Asian Cuisine knowledge a plus. 50 hours + a week

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Training: Develop and deliver engaging training sessions to the back-of-house team, focusing on new cooking techniques, modern presentation styles, and innovative recipe development.
  • Daily Specials: Introduce creative, and seasonal dishes for our daily specials, after being approved by our Executive Chef.
  • product ordering: Product ordering for the restaurant as well as inventory.
  • Collaborate with FOH team: Work closely with the kitchen team and FOH team in ways to improve the restaurant day to day restaurant operations.
  • Team Empowerment: Inspire and motivate the kitchen staff to embrace creativity and continuously improve their cooking abilities, fostering a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a professional chef, with a strong background in high-end, innovative culinary techniques.
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef in a hi-end restaurant and professional setting is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in contemporary cooking methods, kitchen technologies, and modern presentation techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with the kitchen team and FOH team on a daily basis.
  • A passion for culinary education and a desire to inspire creativity in others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and engage with diverse team members.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent formal training is preferred, but extensive practical experience will be considered.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($82,000.00 - $87,000.00)
