Job Details
- Demonstrate the values, polices, and services standards of NEXUS Club New York.
- Ensure the safety of children in Café, adhering to company policies and common-sense guidelines.
- Communicate fluently with Club Supervisors and Management regarding any/all issues.
- Support the Supervised Care team with childcare as available or required.
- Operate an electronic point-of-sale, taking customer orders and ringing them in.
- Prepare hot and cold café beverages.
- Provide over the counter style service for members and guests.
- Perform service support tasks including running food, bussing, and resetting tables.
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment in the Café including light cleaning of tables, chairs, and floors.
- Maintain an understanding of the Club’s food and beverage menus.
- Perform other job-related tasks as required by management or requested by members or guests.
- Project a positive, friendly and caring attitude when interacting with children and adults.
- Provide a high level of genuine hospitality to every member and guest.
- Demonstrate poise and patience in a busy and active environment.
- Demonstrate deep emotional intelligence and empathy.
- Ability to learn quickly, retain information, and apply the knowledge on the job.
- This position reports to the Kid's Club Supervisor.
- This position also has an indirect reporting relationship with Food and Beverage Managers and Supervisors.
- This is a line-level role with a peer relationship to other line-level roles.
- Experience working with children. Experience working with/overseeing children in a group setting a plus.
- Experience in a quick service or café service role. Experience in fine dining or luxury environments a plus.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Weekend and evening availability is required.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($23.00 - $27.00)
