Position Overview:
The Fattest Goat is seeking an innovative culinary professional to lead our menu research and development initiative. This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational dishes of our upcoming Mediterranean-Spanish-New American concept restaurant.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute four signature dishes that will establish our culinary foundation and brand identity
- Collaborate in an intensive R&D process to perfect each dish through multiple iterations
- Participate in a professional promotional photoshoot and investor tasting event
- Contribute creative insights drawing from Mediterranean, Spanish, and New American cuisines
Menu Development Specifications:
Our initial focus will be on creating four distinctive dishes:
- Two innovative fish-based entrées
- One sophisticated vegetable-forward dish
- One signature goat dish that embodies our restaurant's ethos
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine
- Strong background in New American culinary techniques
- Demonstrated ability to develop unique, market-ready dishes
- Experience in high-end plating and food styling
- Understanding of food cost management and scalability
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate culinary vision
Growth Opportunity:
Upon successful completion of the R&D phase and securing of investor funding, the selected candidate will be considered for a full-time Executive Chef position at our forthcoming brick-and-mortar location.
Project Timeline:
- Initial menu development and testing phase
- Refinement period with stakeholder feedback
- Culminating in a professional photoshoot and investor tasting event
Compensation: $1,500
Event Timeline: March 3rd-April 1st.
