We are seeking a passionate and experienced Front-of-House Manager to lead the team at our Winnetka Outpost. Responsibilities:
• Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Sales and Product Knowledge: Drive sales by showcasing products, recommending and describing items, and answering questions. Possess thorough knowledge of bakery offerings.
• Team Management: Lead, motivate, and train FOH staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Create weekly/monthly work schedules for all staff and coordinate annual reviews for team members. Approve timesheets for biweekly payroll.
• Daily Operations: Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized space.
• Orders: Monitor and package all daily online and special holiday orders.
• Visual Merchandising: Ensure attractive product displays and an inviting atmosphere.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with customers, staff, and management.
• Equipment: Monitor the maintenance and cleanliness of all equipment including refrigeration, espresso machine and related coffee items, sinks, etc.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Proven experience (2+ years) in a similar role, preferably in a bakery or food service environment. Barista experience is required. Previous Managerial experience and a college degree are preferred. Ability to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for an eight-hour shift.
• Passion for Food: Genuine interest in artisan bread, pastries, and high-quality coffee service.

• Problem Solving: Ability to handle customer issues effectively and efficiently.
• Organization and Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills.
• POS Systems: Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and online scheduling software.
• Certifications: ServSafe Manager, ServSafe Allergen, and ServSafe Workplace certifications are required.
• Availability: Weekends and early morning shifts. The preferred schedule is Wednesday-Sunday.
