Job Description: Madlab Kakigori Attendant

Position Title: Madlab Attendant
Location: Madlab Kakigori, Transamerica Pyramid, San Francisco, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview:
Madlab Kakigori is a one-of-a-kind dessert destination offering a playful, sugar-filled experience for guests of all ages. Our specialties include milkshakes, gelato, and authentic Japanese shaved ice, or kakigori, with indulgent toppings like cotton candy, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and even entire slices of birthday cake. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Attendant to join our team and deliver exceptional experiences that match the fun and creativity of Madlab.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Interaction: Welcome and engage with guests to create a warm, friendly atmosphere. Answer questions about menu items, toppings, and the Madlab experience.

  • Order Taking: Accurately take and process orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system while maintaining efficiency during busy periods.

  • Dessert Creation: Prepare and assemble kakigori, milkshakes, gelato, and other desserts to order. Ensure each creation is visually appealing and meets Madlab’s high presentation standards.

  • Cleanliness & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all equipment and stations meet health and safety regulations.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels for toppings, syrups, and other ingredients. Communicate any shortages or restocking needs to management.

  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to support smooth operations and deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for desserts and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing role is preferred but not required.

  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Manual dexterity for preparing desserts and handling equipment.

Alter, an American restaurant located in Miami, Wynwood neighborhood, was the first restaurant in Kilgore Culinary’s portfolio opening in the summer of 2015.
