Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Barista with a background in music or record stores to deliver exceptional coffee experiences while contributing to our unique retail space. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, barista expertise, and a passion for music that resonates with our community-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Barista Duties:

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso-based beverages, and other menu items according to company recipes and standards.

• Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and pour-over setups.

• Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming coffee bar and seating area.

• Manage inventory and restock coffee and supplies as needed.

• Educate customers about our coffee offerings, including origins, flavor profiles, and brewing methods.

Retail/Music Store Duties:

• Assist customers in exploring our music and record collection, providing knowledgeable recommendations based on their preferences.

• Maintain and organize the retail space, ensuring merchandise is displayed attractively and restocked as needed.

• Manage and process sales transactions for both coffee and retail items.

• Stay updated on new music releases and trends to enhance customer engagement.

• Collaborate with the team to curate playlists that reflect our brand and vibe.

Customer Experience:

• Deliver outstanding customer service by engaging with guests and creating a memorable experience.

• Build relationships with regular customers and foster a sense of community within the shop.

• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of barista experience in a specialty coffee environment.

• Background or experience in a music or record store is highly preferred.

• Passion for coffee and understanding of various brewing methods and coffee origins.

• Strong knowledge of music genres, artists, and the record industry.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Team-oriented with a proactive and positive attitude.

• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
