Easy Company is seeking SERVERS for NEW WINE BAR at the WHARF

Better Hospitality Group (BHG) is the operating group behind three of Washington, D.C.’s most cherished neighborhood bar/restaurants: TAKODA in the capital’s bustling Shaw neighborhood, Boardwalk Bar & Arcade on the waterfront at The Wharf, and our newest TAKODA location in the Navy Yard neighborhood across the street from Nationals Park. BHG is hiring for its newest wine bar concept, Easy Company, on the waterfront at The Wharf. BHG is the fastest growing bar/restaurant group in the Greater Washington region. *Both day and night shifts available.

Whether you are already a wine expert or interested in learning more, we are accepting applications of all skill levels. If you are looking to increase your exposure to wine and gain a base knowledge and comfort serving & discussing wine then Easy Company is the right place for you. Responsibilities

Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Skills

Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
Computer literacy
Knowledge of a second language is a plus
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
Prior wine knowledge not required

Compensation: We pay our tipped hourly employees $10/HR plus tips in accordance with DC law. With tips our employees average in the $25-$35/HR range. With the right staff we only see this increasing!
