Are you an experienced Pastry Cook with a passion for creating inventive and mouthwatering gelato flavors? Look no further! Or do look further! Honestly, up to you - but we think this is worth a read…

Our award-winning bakery in the LES is looking for our next Weirdough (a skilled and enthusiastic Pastry Cook) to join our tight-knit, and incredible team.

Get ready to mix (pun intended) your expertise (and Spotify playlist) with Supermoon-y flavors, unleash your creativity, learn as much as we can possibly teach you (we hope to learn a lot from you too) and help develop delicious frozen desserts for our incredible customers (honestly the best people in the world, we genuinely LOVE them) to eat.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a bakery/pastry kitchen (please don’t apply if you have never worked as a pastry cook with at least one year under your apron - we won’t respond and it will be a waste of both our time) Experience in other forms of pastry a plus!
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Must be based in NYC & be a United States Resident or Visa Holder (sorry we cannot sponsor international bakers / pastry cooks who need a visa at this moment, hopefully soon we will be able to though!)
  • Must care about the quality of their work (we’re proud of everything we put out, and we hope you are too)
  • Must write the word ‘heard’ in your intro paragraph (this is the first test, if you don't read a job description, you probably won’t read recipes either)
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must have experience in a high-volume bakery/restaurant kitchen
  • Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintains a positive attitude and works effectively as a member of a team
  • Works cleanly and efficiently
  • Ability to follow recipes and techniques
  • Basic knowledge and experience of kitchen principles
  • Gelato & Chocolate Experience is a big bonus - let us know if you have it!

This Position:

This is a production and gelato-focused position

  • Full Time position
  • Production: Prepare and bake a variety of exceptional fillings, gelato, garnishes and unique frozen goods.
  • Tools: Utilize industrial kitchen equipment to mix and spin our delectable creations.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations (it’s probably the cleanest kitchen you have ever worked in, and we plan to keep it that way).
  • Vibe: Help create a positive and energetic bakery environment that uplifts our team and customers. Cooking is not the easiest job, so let’s try and make it fun for all.

Compensation Details
