Job Details

North Fork Table & Inn is a well-loved spot on the East End, known for showcasing the best of Long Island’s farms, vineyards, and waters. The restaurant is located in a historic countryside home in Southold, Long Island. 2025 we will be opened through the the year. Opening day 2/13/2024. 

We are seeking experienced Barbacks 
with a genuine sense of warmth and hospitality to join the team at North Fork Table & Inn.

As a Barback, you are responsible for helping Bartenders keep the bar clean and organized by bussing bar areas, keeping glasses and other bar equipment clean, product well-stocked and maintain storage areas. Maintaining Department of Health standards at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area and the entire venue.
  • Possesses general knowledge of all food and beverage menus, and company policies & procedures.
  • Assist service team with beverage and food service
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all back-of-house storage areas and refrigeration units according to company standards.
  • Responsible for keeping all liquor displays and shelving organized and maintaining par levels
  • Properly sets-up the bar stations, performs side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management
  • Prepare necessary garnishes, syrups, juices, and/or batches
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business needs
  • Complete all assigned side work as assigned by Management

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or hospitality environment
  • Passion for cocktails and understanding of different ingredients
  • Knowledge of menu and operations
  • Great customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high volume environment and ability to multi-task and work under pressure while still being detail oriented and personable
  • Good organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read, write and speak proficient English
  • Must have open availability

Compensation: Hourly ($16.50)
