Job Title: Food Runner
Job Overview:
The Food Runner ensures that food orders are delivered to the appropriate guests in a timely and professional manner. They work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and other front-of-house team members to maintain the flow of service and provide a seamless dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Delivery Quickly and efficiently deliver food from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring that the correct order is delivered to the right table.
Plate Presentation Ensure that all dishes are presented in an appealing way, checking for proper garnishing, cleanliness, and presentation standards before delivery.
Assist Servers: Support servers by delivering food, refilling drinks, and bringing additional items (e.g., condiments, utensils, etc.) as requested by guests.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the dining area and service stations clean and organized, clearing dirty dishes and glassware from tables as necessary.
Coordinate with Kitchen: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure orders are being prepared accurately and promptly. Report any issues or special requests to the kitchen.
Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly and assist with minor requests or concerns, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the restaurant team, including servers, hosts, and managers, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays or plates of food.
Communication: Good verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and guests.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring that orders are correct, and food is presented well.
Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering a positive dining experience.
Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and prioritize food delivery to ensure timely service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or a restaurant environment.

echoing the fiery atmosphere and unique traditions of French Morocco.
Alhambra design elements on the outside and a 30-foot long red carpet entrance set the tone for the opulent atmosphere inside with a dining room outfitted with crystal chandeliers, Turkish rugs, velvet booths and silk draperies.
The restaurant has a capacity for 200 and will include an outdoor patio with plans for sunset parties as well as a bar adorned with hookahs that will also feature one-of-a-kind tableside hookah service with customized infusions and flavors.
Nightly shows of roving belly dancers, contortionists and percussionists who will circle the dining room will enhance the nightlife-as-theater experience.
The menu encompasses a variety of tasty continental and Middle Eastern shareable dishes appealing to a broad range of palates, with highlights like Merguez Pigs in a Blanket, Whole Roasted Cauliflower with Charred Wild Mushrooms, Lemon Roasted Chicken and Herbed Yogurt, plus comfort food like Wagyu Burger Sliders, Miso-Honey Glazed Sea Bass Skewers,
and a selection of sushi, complimented by sips and tea service. Tableside dessert carts will include ice cream with Turkish mastic and Halva cheesecake.
The bar program at Habibi draws on the North African and Mediterranean lifestyle, showcasing
unique ingredients and flavors that induce a strong sense of place. In executing this motif, the beverage team employs techniques like fat washing – the process of toasting seeds to pull out their oils and infusing them in spirits overnight – to achieve rich textures and bold aromas.
Habibi Miami is due to open Spring 2024.
